‘Bergers’ by Sophie Deraspe, adapted from the novel “D'où viens-tu, berger?”, this is THE Quebec film of the year, which won Best Canadian Film at TIFF in 2024. 🏆

👉 SYNOPSIS :
Mathyas, an aspiring writer, leaves his Montreal life as a young advertising executive to become a shepherd in Provence. However, the path to a peaceful life turns out to be fraught with pitfalls. His plans are turned upside down when he meets Élise, a civil servant in search of renewal. Together, they embark on a transhumance, crossing the mountains with a herd in tow. Their adventure leads them to forge a new existence, in a wild and human setting.
