In mid August, Casa will be hosting artist Gabrielle Houle, as part of the Artist in Residence (AiR) program from August 19 – September 15.
Gabrielle Houle is a multilingual artist, educator, translator, and theatre scholar specialized in masked performance, movement for actors, oral history of performance, and the creation of masks. While in residence she will be collaborating with a local actor, sound designer and choreographer to workshop the first English translation of Simon a toujours aimé danser by Simon Boulerice (trans. Justin A. Blum), a queer solo performance for older teens and young adults.
Performance: Saturday, September 7 at 6 pm in the Community Room before the Gallery Opening Reception
